Main part of the #Asuna #cosplay is #complete! Made the sleeves today. Pretty happy with the way they turned out as I’m still learning how to work with stretch fabric. Only shoes, and leggings left! #almostthere
Finished watching Another earlier this week. I liked it :) Good mix of horror and mystery. Didn’t end up being too scary in my opinion, but there were definitely some “Final Destination” moments in there.
frostmournehungers asked: I`m sorry if im bothering you or anything , but would you mind telling me how you did the red and white linings on the asuna costume ? thank you :)
Oh it’s no bother at all! I’m happy you asked ^_^ For the outer red lining I used double fold bias tape. You can find it at any fabric store or even some places like Wal Mart (which sells it for cheaper, actually!). For the little red and white lines I used thin satin ribbon :)
Asuna Cosplay progress - Slowly, but surely getting there! I finished the red part that starts from her back and wraps around her arms. Working on the breastplate now. #progress #asuna #swordartonline #cosplay #animeexpo2013
daddyslittlefoxygirl asked: Those swords are beautiful!!! You made those, or what? And please tell me you offer this as a service occasionally lol
Thank you so much! It was a joint effort of my cousin, uncle and I. My cousin made the initial design, I helped cut it out and do some sanding, but my uncle was the one who did most of the magic of bringing the sword to life (sanding, painting, detailing)! He is amazing. We were thinking of making a few to sell in the future, but nothing solid yet ;)
Thanks for your question and I’m glad you really like the swords! Planning on using it for our Anime Expo cosplay this year.
